Purposeful comparison

As Senior UX Designer, I directed the end-to-end design lifecycle for the Mortgage Analytics Insights platform, helping translate dense data into clearer information structures, usable workflows, and consistent product patterns.

Mortgage professionals work with layered market, performance, and benchmarking information. The product needed to make that information easier to scan, compare, and act on without oversimplifying the underlying data.
The design challenge was to create an experience that supported informed decisions while remaining legible, consistent, and practical to build.
I directed the design lifecycle across the platform, from framing workflows and information hierarchy through high-fidelity interface design and implementation guidance.
I introduced more structured timelines and cross-functional reviews so product, design, and engineering could align earlier around scope, decisions, and delivery expectations.
The work focused on helping users recognize what mattered, understand how data related, and move toward the next appropriate action. Clear hierarchy, consistent visual patterns, and purposeful interaction design reduced cognitive burden without removing the depth professionals needed.
I contributed high-fidelity specifications to the Ellie Mae React design system, helping align the product experience with reusable components and established visual standards.

Summary cards establish the frame; charts, filters, and a detailed table support deeper investigation.
Shared filters, cards, tables, and icon language reduce the learning curve across the product suite.
I worked closely with product and development during design reviews and implementation. I conducted UI audits to identify inconsistencies and defects before production releases, helping preserve visual quality, interaction clarity, and system consistency.
